This session will provide information on CONNECT’s efforts, using its new van, to provide a range of community outreach and educational services to residents of Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region.
Among the services to be provided in collaboration with CONNECT’s partners, and other collaborators, will be:
Formed in July 2021, CONNECT is a post-opioid overdose and outreach follow-up program that provides services to individuals who have experienced or witnessed an overdose within 72 hours. It also provides outreach and education services including overdose prevention and Narcan training as well as the free distribution of naloxone to law enforcement, fire departments, and other first responders. CONNECT also distributes free sharps containers and public access naloxone cabinets, which includes Narcan. It serves the 30 communities of Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region.
